Picking Up The Slack Of The Slacker..
Urban Dictionary Definition:
"Slacker"- 1. Someone who is intelligent, and doesn't feel like doing anything. 2. Someone capable of work but is too lazy to do it correctly; Work-a-phobic
*Bet we all work with a Slacker*
The Slacker VS. The Dedicated Reliable Employee
I am a little confuse about the whole ordeal.. Why is it that the Slackers; the ones who are lazy, rude, and unmotivated, they just seem to slide by and get away with everthing; but the ones who actually work hard and show dedication get terminated? I cant help but wonder, if there's a little "Who's Sleeping/Blowing Who" going on? Does that really still take place in our work place today? Ok.. ok.. I know that's wrong for me to say and I probably don't mean it... maybe I'm over reacting but I just can't understand it. How do the Slackers manage to stay around FOREVER, when they're the ones who deserve to be written up or terminated. Its always the good employees who they end up letting go, which seems totally absurd and cruel to me, especially since our economy is so bad right now. People Need Their Jobs! The good ones dont deserve this crappy treatment. I tried to make sense out of everything; slacker = raise/possible promotion.. reliable hard worker = write ups/termination, I'm having a hard time comprehending that concept. It really bothers me that good people are the ones who always seem to get shitted on. I see it happen all the time, and it really makes me mad. It makes me wonder why people go that extra mile. Does it really pay off? My biggest work pet peeve is people not pulling their weight, it causes other people more headache and stress because they have to pick up the "SLACK Of The SLACKER" It really pisses me off!
